A click is not a sale yet
A shortlink call shows interest in a post or offer. On the other hand, a reported sale comes from another data source. Time and other contacts can lie between these events. So don't count clicks and sales as the same kind of success.
AffiRena captures its own link clicks. Sales evaluations obtain their information from the respective network or imported reports. Which details are available depends on this source.
AWIN: References connect the work
A correctly generated AWIN link can provide references to manager, channel and publication. If AWIN reports a transaction with appropriate references and imports the synchronization, AffiRena can use this information for assignment.
An older link without this information is not subsequently clear by a new software version. Unarranged transactions are therefore a signal to look at the references – no reason to guess a channel.
Amazon: traceable attribution
Creators API loads available Amazon reports automatically in the background. You can also import original reports. Reloading the page shows the last processed data.
Managers and channels are attributed using registered Tracking IDs. Missing assignments remain visible. Click shares and purchased ASINs are not used as proof of purchase origin.
Don't confuse commission and payout
A reported commission may have an open status. Consider the transaction status and the selected period together with the sum. The notified or confirmed commission is not automatically the amount already paid.
For a meaningful comparison, time period, currency and data source should fit together. Check missing assignments and the last import or synchronization before taking a business decision from a change.
